Scale of the Universe of the Day: Cary and Michael Huang’s “Scale of the Universe 2012″ is an interactive project that shows the relative size of everything from a helium nucleus on up to entire galaxies and, if you zoom out enough, the entire observable universe.

It’s reminiscent of the American Museum of Natural History’s video exhibition, “The Known Universe,” but with a wider range of objects, and the fun of zooming in and out yourself.

And yes, one of the objects for comparison is a human being, so you’ll get a chance to contemplate how small we really are (or how large, depending on the perspective).
