Well, my version of the title is a bit more accurate.  As teachers, our voices are our main tool.  It’s all about how we talk.  So why not learn a trick or two about effective talking?  The guide is not really dedicated to teaching, so skim over the bits about relationships and quasi-stalking techniques.  I can see how some of it would relate to talking to parents.  We don’t get a long time with parents, so every word really counts. 

I don’t like the writing style.  “I have a friend called Helen and…..”.  Every tip is a story.  I have never wished for a bullet point PowerPoint before, but reading this book, I realize the benefits of a quick slideshow (even those ones with kittens in the background).
